Pepperoni Peepers- The Perfect Halloween Appetizer For Kids

This is a simple recipe that kids can really appreciate any time of the year, but will surely love during the Halloween season as they are a bit on the creepy side. Pepperoni Peepers are like mini pizza eyeballs that everyone will love- my kids sure did and they were SOO easy!! Definitely fun for kids to make and easy on the wallet as well- its just a win-win when it comes to fun and eerie food for kids to make. Super simple and similar to the Halloween mummy dogs that kids rave about as well and still with a fun creep out factor gives this delightful yet gross Halloween recipe a big thumbs up from us!

Pepperoni Pepper Ingredients:

* 1 can thin crust pizza dough
* 4-5 pieces of string cheese
* pepperoni slices
* marinara sauce for dipping and adhesion
* sliced black olives

Directions:
1. Separate the pizza dough into 15-20 small balls, around golf ball sized or a little smaller.

2. Cut the string cheese into 4-5 pieces and stuff into the center of each dough ball. Seal the cheese inside the ball.

3. Lay on greased baking sheet and press down slightly.
4. Squeeze a dab of marinara and then place a pepperoni on top of each ball.
5. And a sliced black olive for an eerie eyeball look.
6. Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through

Creepy Halloween Tunnel Cake

Everyone loves a great story and this cake provides just that! Imagine showing a child or even an adult a cake with lots of tiny tunnels and holes in it filled with a gooey rubbery like substance! What kind of creature could have done such a thing… oh, let the imagination out for this one! A yummy and creepy Halloween Tunnel Cake that is so much fun to show off. Pretty simple to make and even funner to eat, this dish can be made a number of different ways with different flavors and you can even add to the creepiness by adding gummy worms or other bug like candies.

Creepy Halloween Tunnel Cake Ingredients:

1 package white cake mix

Tunnels:
3 ounces red Jell-O mix (you can use any flavor really… the red is really neat looking though)
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water

Topping:
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 small package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 envelope dream whip topping
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 handful of candy corn

Creepy Halloween Tunnel Cake Directions:

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and stir until mixed and place in fridge until ready to use- do not allow to ‘set’, just keep it chilled enough.

Prepare cake following the package directions for a bunt sized cake. Let the cake cool for some time and then turn upside down on a large platter with a brim as the jello will leak out.

Using a straw or skewer “poke” tunnels and holes around and to the bottom of the cake about an inch apart, you can do it at random or in a tunnel like pattern, it’s up to you. Pour the cool liquid gelatin into the holes! Place in fridge so the gelatin sets.

Beat together the topping ingredients until stiff peaks begin to form, add red or scary green food coloring if desired. Once gelatin is set and you are ready to show off your gross Halloween treat, frost your creepy Halloween tunnel cake, sprinkle with gummy worms, or other candies for decoration and enjoy!

Just place a lifesaver gummy into a plastic egg with a jelly bean in the center for the eye. Fill the plastic egg with vanilla jello pudding and then place into an empty egg carton and set in the freezer until ready to serve.

Gross Halloween Cat Vomit Dinner Recipe

What is the grossest Halloween recipe type you could think of? Anything that looks like it came out of the mouth of an animal… and this meal is no exception. Gross on appearance but sure to be a winner with your family- even little ones seem to eat up this gross Halloween meal!

* 1 lg Spaghetti Squash
* 8 oz Cottage Cheese
* 16 oz Mozzarella (grated)
* 8 oz Parmesan (grated)
* 1 qt Spaghetti sauce
* 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Cook squash. Fork out spaghetti insides into a large casserole dish. Add cottage cheese, spaghetti sauce, parsley, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Mix until it looks like cat vomit.

Top with the remaining cheeses and bake at 350 degrees F. for about 45 minutes.
