If you are looking for a simple Halloween dinner or just a yummy meal that your kids will most definitely enjoy, then look to the fun Jack-o-Lantern pizza for the perfect meal! This yummy pizza is as simple as can be and always comes out a winner. If you have time, I suggest you make this one with your kiddo as its so much fun to make and you can be as creative as you like.
If you have the time, then by all means- make your own dough, but for simplicity reasons a pre-cooked cheese pizza works just as well or even Pillsbury pizza dough- which is what I actually prefer. This is especially great if you have a large family or even picky kids as you can customize it anyway you want. You can also add additional veggies, meat, anything you like, and then just cover them with cheese to give you the perfect canvas for making a scary Jack-O Lantern face on your pizzas.
1 can pilsbury pizza dough
1 can pizza sauce
1 medium sized bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
1 can (6 ounces) pitted ripe olives, drained and halved
1 tomato cut into triangular shapes.
1 medium sweet red pepper cut into shapes
1 small green pepper cut into shapes
Place pizza dough rolled out on a 12-in. pizza pan. Spread with pizza sauce and cheese, then arrange olives in a circle around edge of pizza. Cut a nose, eyes and mouth from red pepper or tomato. Cut a stem and eyebrows from green pepper. Make a jack-o’-lantern face on pizza. Bake according to package directions. Yield: 6-8 servings.
